Premium Lawn Care Systems
Utilities Landscape Design promotes a six-step system that optimizes growth and greenery:
Step 1
Winter (December, January, February
- A lime application helps neutralize the pH level of soil. This application also provides nutrients that promote healthy root and plant growth as well as soil conditioning.
Step II
Spring (February, March, April)
- Slow release fertilizer is applied to jumpstart your lawn's spring "green up". A pre-emergent is added to control crabgrass and broadleaf weeds.
Step III
Spring (May and June)
- Second application of slow-release fertilizer is applied to maintain lush green grass. Controls for crabgrass and broadleaf weeds.
Step IV
Summer (June, July, August)
- A summer application of a combination blend of nutrients is applied to maintain color and help your lawn tolerate high temperatures and drought conditions (spot weed control).
Step V
Fall (September, October)
Step VI
Fall II (October, November, December)
- A late fall winterizing fertilizer is applied. This special blend is formulated to stimulate root growth and maintain a green, healthy lawn through the winter. Spot crabgrass, broadleaf, and insect control is needed.
